My journey did not begin in a big city. It began in Chiglabar Middle School. Like thousands of children from our villages, I studied there with big dreams and limited resources. Through hard work I reached BIT Sindri, then IIT Kanpur. I worked as a Government Officer in the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) and later built my own businesses in Bangalore. Everything I achieved came through merit, not political influence.
I could have continued living a comfortable life. Politics was never a necessity for me. But over the years I realised that success has little meaning if it serves only me and my family.
I know how difficult it is for a child from a small village to dream big. I know what it feels like to struggle for opportunities. I do not want the next generation of Barkatha to walk the same difficult path simply because they did not get capable leadership or the right opportunities.
I believe every person who has received education, experience and success has a duty to give something back to society. For me, politics is not about power. It is about giving back.
I also believe Barkatha deserves better leadership. Our people are hardworking and talented. They deserve leadership that is honest, capable, transparent and committed enough to turn potential into development.
My father's life taught me the meaning of public service. My own journey taught me the value of hard work and competence. Today I want to combine both.
I am not entering politics to build a career. I have already built one. I am entering politics because I believe the best years of my life should now belong to the people of Barkatha.
My father passed away in 2013 while I was in the last semester of my MBA. I could have entered politics immediately using his name, but I chose not to. I wanted to prove myself first. I wanted people to know me for my work before they knew me as the son of Sukhdeo Yadav. Today I return with experience, humility and a sincere desire to serve.
People often say politics is dirty. But politics does not become cleaner when educated and capable people stay away from it. It becomes better only when people with honesty, education, experience and courage step forward.
I have come forward with education, experience and a clean intention. Now Barkatha has an opportunity to support a politics built on capability, honesty and public service.
This responsibility is not mine alone. If Barkatha wants educated and accountable politics, people must strengthen it when it stands before them.
I am an introvert. I speak less, but I think deeply before I speak. I do not make promises to impress people. I commit only when I believe something can genuinely be done. I would rather lose an election than win by making promises I know cannot be fulfilled.
I will never divide people on the basis of religion for votes. I will never spread hatred for political gain. A road belongs to everyone. A school belongs to everyone. A hospital serves everyone. Development has no religion or caste. Politics should unite people, not divide them. I can accept losing any election, but I cannot accept losing my humanity.

Our village is barely half a kilometre from the Barkatha Assembly boundary.
Half of my ancestral land is in Kandrapadih village in Barkatha.
My father spent his public life serving the people of Barkatha.
My maternal family is in Barkatha.
My sister is married in Barkatha.
My wife's family is also in Barkatha.
Every important relationship in my life is connected to this land.
